Oregon Tech Softball Field to be Renovated in 2018

Coming in the Fall of 2018, the Oregon Tech Softball Field will sport a new turf field, new bull pens, new wrap around bleachers with a press box, improved walkways, and a new field house that will include concessions, restrooms, and a team room.  The renovation is being made possible thanks to the generosity of long-time supporters and athletic fans, John and Lois Stilwell.

Oregon Tech adds South Salem Standout

Head coach Jeff Corkill announced recently that Ashley Zhu (Salem, Ore.) will join the Oregon Tech women's golf team beginning next fall.
 
Zhu, from south Salem High School, is currently ranked 3rd in the Oregon Junior Golf Team point rankings. 2017 Junior America's Cup player for team Oregon. 4.0 GPA and is the President of the South Salem DECA Competitive Club.

Oregon Tech Softball Picked 2nd in CCC Pre-Season Coaches’ Poll

Oregon Tech and Corban University landed in a tie for second place in the poll with 72 points and two first place votes each. Greg Stewart leads and Oregon Tech squad that finished 36-17 overall and 20-7 in CCC play into the 2018 campaign. The Lady Owls advanced to the opening round of the 2017 NAIA tournament as an at-large selection and returns All-CCC first team selection Tara Moates.

Changes Coming to OIT Basketball Schedule in January and February

Construction delays on Southern Oregon University new gymnasium has forced the Cascade Conference to make changes to the Oregon Tech and Southern Oregon Men's and Women's Basketball schedules for the third consecutive year because of the availability of the Ashland High School gym for SOU to utilize.
 
The changes move the Friday and Saturday night double-headers from 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm to Saturday and Sunday at 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm.

Lady Owls Withstand Wolves Attack

The Oregon Tech Lady Owls took down NCAA D2 opponent, Western Oregon University on Monday night, by a score of 59-53, with four Lady Owls in double-digits scoring.

The game started with the two teams exchanging the first few baskets, before the Lady Owls were able to make a strong defensive stand, while going on a 10-0 run to end the first period of play with a score of 16-6.

Oregon Tech's Mitchell Fink has been named the Cascade Conference Red Lion men's basketball Player of the Week
 
Fink, a sophomore point guard from Clackamas, Ore., netted 25 of his game high 30 points in the second half leading the Owls to the come-from-behind 84-71 win at Simpson University Saturday night. OIT improved to 39-0 all-time against the Red Hawks with the win. Fink added a game high of 7-assists and was 5-of-9 from behind the three-point arc.

ALEM, Ore. - Cassidy Gosvener scored a goal late in regulation to tie the game, and then she scored again in overtime to lift the Oregon Tech women's soccer to a 2-1 Cascade Conference win over Corban Friday afternoon at the CFC Soccer Complex.
 
After a scoreless first half, Emma Kosmala took a through ball from Annouscka Kordom and slotted home a great shot to put Corban uo 1-0 in the 60th minute.

Oregon Tech Basketball Releases Season Tickets and Schedule

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – The Oregon Tech athletic department announces the 2017-18 basketball schedules and the opening of season ticket sales.
 
Reserved season seating begins at $225 while adult general admission season tickets are $125. Veterans, active military and Oregon Tech alumni are $100. Oregon Tech is also offering a new floor-seating package for $300. These padded seats are on the floor and are located at the north end of the gym. KLAMATH FALLS, Ore.- Over the past 8 seasons the Lady Owls of Oregon Tech have posted a .658 winning percentage with an overall record of 171-89.  That record, achieved under Head Coach Scott Meredith, ranks 5th among all active NAIA DII basketball coaches in winning percentage and 22nd in total games won.  Coach Meredith attributes this stellar record to the quality of student-athletes that enroll at Oregon Tech and the great environment for success at the University.
