Lady Owls Down Red Hawks

REDDING, Calif. - Oregon Tech (6-5) had five players in double-digits in scoring as they snapped a four game losing streak with a 73-71 win over Simpson University (2-10) Saturday night at the Grant Center.
 
Tech survived as the Red Hawks out-scored the Owls 17-10 in the 4th quarter and had the game tying shot rim-out at the buzzer.
 
OIT took its largest lead at 15 points with 5:10 remaining in the third but Simpson cut that lead to just nine points at the end of the period.
 
The Lady Owls were led by Bailey Nelson with 14 points and 7-rebounds, with freshmen Abby Kreiser and Amanda Constant adding 12-points each with Mikaela Shumakerand Tayah Ranney chipping in 10 point apiece.
 
Tech will return home Monday night for a non-conference match-up against Willamette University at 6:00 pm at Danny Miles Court.
