Oregon Tech Men’s Soccer Season Ends with 2-0 Loss in CCC Quarterfinals

Springfield, Ore.-  The No. 5-seeded Oregon Tech men's soccer team fell to the No. 4-seeded Northwest Christian University 2-0 Friday afternoon in the quarterfinals of the Cascade Collegiate Conference Playoff's at the Willamalane Complex.
 
NCU scored a goal in each half on the way to the 2-0 win as they advance to the CCC Semifinals Saturday and will face Southern Oregon University at 4:00 pm. For the Owls their season ends with a record of 8-8-1.
 
Blake Doran gave the Beacons the 1-0 lead as he dribbled through the defense and scored from 12 yards out in the 17th minute.
 
Northwest Christian was then awarded a Penalty Kick in the 89th minute that Sanad Elghanai converted to give NCU the 2-0 win.
 
Each team only had 3 shots for the game with NCU having a slight 9-8 edge in total shots for the game.

It was a tough loss today, but it doesn't take anything away from the bigger picture."
