KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Oregon Tech Head Women's Soccer Coach Brandon Porter has announced his 2019 recruiting class for the Women's Soccer program.

"The 2019 signing class is certainly one we are excited about.  Each one of our recruits in this class possesses attributes that can cause matchup issues for our opponents. But more importantly, we feel that each of these players' skill, athleticism, and individual personalities will fit seamlessly into our program.  We trust our players to work within our tactics, but we encourage them to express themselves individually and make instinctual decisions during games.  All of these players will strike that balance and complement our existing group of experience and talent.  We have significant goals for ourselves and these players will certainly help us pursue those."

Cortney Bogar

5'6" Forward/Defender, Charles Francis Adams HS, Clarkston, WA. Eastern Washington Surf

Coach Porter: "Cortney came to us later in our 2019 recruiting process, but is exactly what we look for in terms of a student-athlete at Oregon Tech.  She came highly recommended by a fellow colleague from the Seattle club scene, and it is obvious why she stands out.  Cortney is technically sound, intelligent, and has surprising pace.  We are excited to see her surprise everyone and excel as an Owl."

Notable Info: Cortney played most recently for the Puget Sound Premier League Surf Academy as well as Eastern Washington Surf.  Cortney is the daughter of Brandon and Jennifer Bogar and she plans on majoring in Engineering while at Oregon Tech.

Alyx Burkhartzmeyer

5'11" Goalkeeper, West Linn HS, West Linn, OR. Westside Timbers

Coach Porter: "It is not often that we have the opportunity to pick up a goalkeeper of Alyx's caliber this late in the process, but we were fortunate enough to snag an outstanding talent.  Anytime a six foot goalkeeper with steady hands, mobility, range on goal coverage, and good feet comes along, you do whatever you can to get them.  On top of that, Alyx is an outstanding student with a 4.0 GPA and phenomenal personality and temperament.  I can't wait to see her compete with our already talented and experienced goalkeepers."

Notable Info: Alyx was a 1st Team all Three Rivers selection as a junior, and a 2nd Team All Three Rivers selection as a senior.  She also competed in basketball and tennis while in high school, and plans on majoring in Biology-Health Sciences.  She is the daughter of Barry and Jan Burkhartzmeyer.

Kyra Cambra

5'9" Defender, Seabury HS/Baldwin HS, Wailuku, Maui, HI. Maui United/Hawaii Rush

Coach Porter: "One of our earliest signings, once we saw Kyra train and play, we knew we wanted her in our program immediately.  She exemplifies the type of athlete that we utilize best in our system.  She is long, fast, athletic, and loves to compete.  While I think she is more than capable of playing multiple positions, I think having her fly out of the back and attack as a wide fullback will allow her to take advantage of her range and aggressiveness.  I think she will come in and make an immediate impact for us in our quest for a conference championship."

Notable Info: Kyra was also a star basketball player in high school and her older sister played basketball at Western Oregon.  She is the daughter of Wayne and Angela Cambra and will be majoring in Medical Imaging at Oregon Tech.

Nyah Kendall

5'2" Forward, Hidden Valley HS, Grants Pass, OR

Coach Porter: "Pace.  That is the first thing most people will notice about Nyah.  The kid is just flat out fast, possibly faster than our two time 1st Team All Conference forward Cassidy Gosvener (2015-2018).  But it is what she does with the ball, an uncanny knack with it, exploiting space, and making the right play, that sets her apart.  She is going to run by a ton of defenders in her time here, but she is also going to be able to help us pick apart back lines with her playmaking.  We have done well picking up standout under-the-radar players in relatively quiet areas of the state, and Nyah is the perfect example of that.  I am really looking forward to watching her be a menace to our opponents' backlines."

Notable Info: Skyline 2nd Team All-Conference (2015), Skyline 1st Team All-Conference (2016), Skyline 1st Team All-Conference and All-State, OSAA 4A State Runners-up, Moda Championship Player of the Game (2017), Skyline 1st Team All-Conference and 1st Team All-State, OSAA 4A State Champions, Moda Championship Player of the Game (2018).  Nyah is the daughter of Daren and Michelle Kendall, and will be majoring in Medical Imaging at Oregon Tech.

Maddie Miller

5'8" Midfielder, Oregon City HS, Oregon City, OR. Portland Thorns Academy/Crossfire ECNL

Coach Porter:  "Maddie is another player that continues to raise our program standard when it comes to athleticism.  She is a versatile player capable of playing a number of positions, but we feel she will be best suited as a center midfielder for us.  Her mix of athleticism, size, ball-winning ability in the air, technical passing ability, and grit will allow her to shine in the middle of the pitch.  The kid is outstanding on headers and knows how to complete.  She should fit right in with our already deep midfield group."

Notable Info: Maddie played in the prestigious United States Soccer Developmental Academy (USSDA) with the Portland Thorns as well as the highly competitive Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) with Crossfire Oregon during her club career.  Maddie is the daughter of Kevin and Carrie Miller and plans on majoring in Biology-Health Sciences while at Oregon Tech.

Hailey Willett

5'8" Forward/Midfielder, Clackamas CC/Oregon City HS, Oregon City, OR. Eastside Timbers/Westside Timbers

Coach Porter: "We have been extremely fortunate with some great junior college transfers recently in Ellie QuerciaChelsea EntrambasaguasEmily Hillestad, and most recently Haley Janky.  I really feel that Hailey is going to join our program and provide an added punch to our attack.  She is a clever attacker that utilizes space and angles well.  She is mobile and crafty, and knows how to play in a tactical environment.  She should add a goal scoring mentality to our front three as well as give us added depth in the midfield.  I am glad we will be getting her for three years as an Owl."

Notable Info: Hailey was an All-Conference player at Oregon City High School, and was a standout performer in her single season at Clackamas Community College.  She is the daughter of Chad and Sarah Willett and will be majoring in Business at Oregon Tech.
