KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Oregon Tech Head Women's Soccer Coach Brandon Porter has announced the second wave of the 2018 recruiting class for the Women's Soccer program.

"We feel extremely fortunate to add such great quality of student-athletes this late in the recruiting process for 2018.  These three players continue the trend of athletic and competitive soccer players that have the opportunity to either make an impact right away or add great depth to our program.  But most importantly they fit into our culture and identity as a program.  We have a clear vision of what we are looking for and what we aim to do in the near future and these players certainly will help us accomplish those goals. Courtney Herick

Midfielder/Defender, South Medford HS, Medford, OR
Rogue Valley Timbers

Coach Porter: "Courtney reminds me of some very good players that have competed here at Oregon Tech in terms of her touch and passing.  She has a well-rounded skillset as a soccer player, and her size and length does a great job of disrupting the opposition's play defensively in the midfield.  We have an extremely deep midfield, and I am looking forward to seeing if Courtney can be a player that makes an impact right away for us."

Notable Info: Courtney was a two-time OSAA 6A Southwest Oregon Conference All Conference selection while at South Medford under Coaches Chris and Aly Hollewijn, and will be majoring in Biology-Health Sciences at Oregon Tech.

Lily LaVine

Forward/Defender, Auburn Mountainview HS, Auburn, WA
Rainier Valley Slammers

Coach Porter: "Lily is one of the best athletes I have recruited while at Oregon Tech.  Not only is she an outstanding soccer player with excellent skill and finishing ability, she is also just flat out fast with unbelievable open field speed.  Lily will also be competing in the sprints for the track team and Coach Kegg at Oregon Tech and I can't wait to see how her size, athleticism, and skill translates into the Cascade Conference."

Notable Info: Lily was a 4A NPSL Olympic League Honorable Mention forward as a sophomore, 1st Team defender as a junior, and a 1st team selection again as a forward during her senior year.  She will be majoring in Pre-MIT while at Oregon Tech.

Morgan Maxwell

Goalkeeper, Central Catholic HS, Portland, OR
Portland City United

Coach Porter:  "I was contacted about Morgan by her high school coach, Andrew Sharp, who is one of my first coaching colleagues and someone I trust greatly.  Needless to say, after having Morgan in for a visit and a workout with the team, I came away extremely impressed.  Morgan is a legitimate 6'0" with good athleticism, solid hands, and an extremely assertive personality on the field.  She surprised our team in training with her presence and shot stopping ability.  Not only does Morgan make our goalkeeping corps deeper, I think that if she comes in prepared, she is going to compete right away for an opportunity."

Notable Info: Morgan was a 2017 Mt Hood Conference 2nd Team All Conference Selection during her senior season.  Morgan plans on majoring in Pre-Med at Oregon Tech.
