Tech’s Kallstrom Named National Player of the Week

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Josh Kallstrom of Oregon Tech has been named the NAIA Baseball National Player of the Week, the national office announced Tuesday. Kallstrom was selected for his performance from April 2 – 8 and was picked out of a pool of conference award winners.

  • Scored 10 runs and drove in eight RBI to lead the Owls to a season-best 4-0 week.

    • 647 batting average (11-for-17).
    • Three doubles and two home runs.
    • Ten runs scored and eight RBI.

Kallstrom currently leads the NAIA-West in batting average (.409), slugging percentage (.720), hits (67), doubles (19), home runs (10), total bases (118), and runs batted in (42).

The Owls will host their alumni game this Saturday, April 14 at 6:00 pm at Kiger Stadium before returning to conference play hosting Lewis-Clark State College on Sunday and Monday, April 22 and 23.
