Known as their own personal Doomsday “Diagnosis Day,” March 17, 2015, stays in the mind of Klamath Falls parents Abbie and Jason McClung. Nearing the fifth year since their son, Finn, was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes (T1D), Abbie remembers spending the evening in Sky Lakes Medical Center emergency room, wondering what was happening with her little kindergartner as he went on to spend four days in the hospital.

Three Owls Receive Conference Player of the Week Honors

LA GRANDE, Ore. -  Oregon Tech cross country runners Danielle De Castro and Mark French along women's soccer player Cassidy Gosvener have been named Cascade Conference Players of the Week the conference office announced Monday.
 
Gosvener, a junior Forward from Vacaville, Calif., had the game tying goal and the game winning goal during overtime in OIT's 2-1 win over Corban. Additionally, she had the game-winning goal against Northwest Christian, putting the Owls at a 2-0 weekend on the road.
 
De Castro, a junior from Seattle, Wash., took 3rd place with a time of 17:52, the fastest time run by an Owl at the 43rd Annual Charles Bowles Willamette meet ever. The closest CCC runner behind De Castro was 28 seconds back.
