Lady Owls Get Past Knights

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. -  Oregon Tech downed Warner Pacific 3-1 (25-22, 25-20, 21-25, 25-22) in Cascade Conference play Friday night at Danny Miles Court. The Lady Owls improve to 6-9 in CCC action and 8-12 overall with the win and the Knights fall to 4-11 in both CCC play and overall.  
 
Chase Bohman led OIT with 23 kills on the night with Whitney Webster adding 10 kills.
 
OIT used a late 10-3 run to break-up a close opening set, on the way to 25-22 win.
 
In set two, Oregon Tech took an early 16-12 lead as they won 25-20.
 
Oregon Tech opened-up set three with an 8-2 lead before WPC rallied to tie the set at 10-10 and eventually take an 18-15 lead and then held on for the 25-21 win.
 
OIT opened the fourth set on 9-3 run, then extended that lead to 17-10 before the Knights chipped the lead down to just three at 21-18. After an Oregon Tech timeout, the Owls went on to win the set 25-22 to claim the match victory.
 
WPC was led by Janessa Mast who had a nice night with 21 kills. Melisa Ljuca added 11-kills in the loss.
 
Jaime Toedtemeier had 43 assist locking down the middle for the Owls. Courtney Smith had 17-digs with Bailey Nelsonadding 15-digs in the win.
 
Oregon Tech will next host Multnomah University Saturday at 5:00 Pm at Danny Miles Court with Warner Pacific heading to Ashland Saturday for game against Southern Oregon.
