The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.

With the primary goal of Toys for Tots is to deliver, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them in becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens.

Locally the Toys for Tots campaign is driven by JoAnn and Janah, a mother-daughter team coming together, helping children and giving hope this Christmas season. 2017 seen the most children ever served in the local organizations history.  Nearly 2000 children in Klamath and Lake Counties were aided by the Klamath Falls Toys for Tots.

"We've officially signed up over 2000 kids this year that's 5x's more than last year" Joann Moorer-Roberts. "Toys for Tots reaches more needy children for Christmas than any other organization...AND.. we help the other organizations with their lists if they run short."

Toys were donated by local organizations, clubs and citizens. Some groups such as the Rip City Riders partnered with Lithia Ford to gather toys to fill a Ford Truck.

"We want to help the community." Mike Germolus, Vice President Rip City Riders. "People can think what they want to about bikers, but the bottom line is when it comes to kid and charities, we all give, we all help out."
