OIT Men and Women both in 2nd Place after 1st Day of Warner Pacific Invite

OREGON CITY, Ore.-  The Oregon Tech men and women's golf teams both sit in second place after the first day of action at Stone Creek Golf Course Monday afternoon.  Men Results   Women Results
 
The OIT men's team shot an opening round 290, followed with a second round 286 for a 576 total. They sit 5-strokes behind Corban University who lead the tournament after their two-round total 571.
 
Tech's Tyler Franke and Mayson Tibbs are -2 under par (142) and are tied for 4th place as they lead the Owls. Tibbs shot a 1st round 69 and followed with a 73. Franke fired a 70 and followed that with a second round 72.
 
College of Idaho's Chris Carew and Corban's Devery Stewart lead the field at -5 (139)
 
On the women's side, the Corban women lead Oregon Tech by 15 strokes as they combined for a first round total 313. The Lady Owls shot a first round 328 and are being led by Janelle Ferlan who is just two strokes behind Bethany Bullers of Corban who leads the field after her 74.
 
Tech's Holly Froelich (82) is 9th followed by Kylie Collom (84) who is in 11th with Stephanie Koza and Darby Twight in a tie for 13th after their round of (86).
