HELENA, Mont.-  No. 24 Oregon Tech downed Carroll College 2-1 Monday as the Lady Owls salvaged the final game of the three game series. Oregon Tech improves to 25-9, 13-5 CCC and the Saints drop to 21-12, 8-7 CCC.

Tech's Loryn Williams (Pictured) was stellar in the circle pitching the final 6 and one third innings giving up only one hit with five strikeouts as she improved to 5-1 on the year.

OIT opened the scoring in the top of the first inning as Tara Moates scored on a single by Ali Graham.

The Saints got on the board in the second inning when Brittany Smith singled up the left side to score Brooke Yarnall and tie the game at 1-1. It would stay knotted for the next nine innings.

Both teams had chances; the Saints left the bases loaded in the bottom of the third inning and in the bottom of the fifth inning with the bases loaded. Yarnall belted a ball to the right side which was barely snagged by the Oregon Tech second baseman.

Rachael Delamare was hit by a pitch to lead off the top of the 11th. She was bunted over to second base by Sahalie Doe, took third base on a wild pitch and scored on an Irene McGuire ground out.

The Owls will next travel to Ashland, Ore. next weekend for a big matchup with No. 14 Southern Oregon University, the Raiders have won 18 of their last 20 games.
