REDDING-, Calif. – No. 10 Oregon Tech got a complete game from Ali Graham as the Owls improved to 3-2 on the season with a 3-0 shutout win over former Cascade Conference member and now NCAA DII Concordia University in game one of the Simpson Tournament being held at Big League Dreams on Saturday. Game two of the Tournament for the Owls against host Simpson was postponed due to heavy rain and will either be played later tonight (6:00 pm) or part of a possible tripleheader on Sunday.

"Ali set the tone in the circle and our team played with toughness today in inclement conditions. Jacey came up with a big opposite field line drive to break the 0-0 tie and we played another solid defensive game. We have to match that effort tomorrow against two good teams."

After Tech failed to take advantage of their leadoff hitter getting on base in the early innings, it was senior catcher Jacey Conklin (Pictured) delivering the big hit in the bottom of the fifth scoring the Owls first run and eventually game winner. OIT would add two more runs in the inning on back-to-back doubles by Graham and Shayna Ige to take a 3-0 lead.

Concordia never had a runner get to third base as Graham was dominant in the circle with five-strikeouts, no walks and four-hits over 7-innings to improve to 2-1 on the year.
