Future kindergartners, families invited to schools for tours, registration

Klamath County School District elementary schools will host kindergarten roundups this month for families of incoming kindergartners.

During roundups, parents are introduced to the school, the teachers, and the routines, and they register their student for kindergarten. Students also get a chance to see their school and meet teachers.

To enroll for kindergarten in fall 2019, students must be the age of 5 on or before Sept. 1. Please bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate and an updated copy of your child’s immunization record.

If you need to verify your child’s school attendance area, go to the district website – www.kcsd.k12.or.us – and select “School Boundary Map” in the links on the left side.

Following is the kindergarten round-up schedule by school:

Ferguson Elementary School

Time: 9 a.m. in the cafeteria

* Please bring proof of address (example: utility bill with a physical address and parent’s name on it) as well as a birth certificate and immunization records.
