Silvis, Ill. -- For the second day in a row the Oregon Tech men's golf team improved their position as they moved up from No. 23 to No.22 in the 2018 NAIA Men's Golf National Championship played at TPC Deere Run. The move however was not enough to get the Owls above the cut line as the field was cut to the top 17 teams and top 40 individuals plus ties following Thursday's round, thus the Owls have been eliminated.

"I am pleased with the team's effort again today," said Head Coach Jeff Corkill. "We improved each round and as it appears we will miss the cut. I love how this team kept fighting after a poor first round. It was a nice end to a very good season for the Owls!"

Tech was led on the day by Kyle Wolf who shot a +1 over par 72. Houston Knox was OIT's highest finisher after his final round 73 left him with a three-day total of 224, good enough for 84th

Tyler Franke had final round 76 to give him a 230 total and 104th as he and Nate Hunter finished tied. Mayson Tibbs final round 77 (231) had him in 108th followed by Wolf with a (233) and 114th.
