Hustlin’ Owls Get Past Montana State-Northern 71-67

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. –Oregon Tech (4-3) handed Montana State-Northern (3-1) their first loss of the season as the Owls downed the Lights 71-67 Friday night in game 4 of the Lithia Toyota Classic at Danny Miles Court.
 
The game had 8 lead changes and was tied six times with the largest lead for either team at 7-points.
 
MSN took the lead at the half 33-31 as they shot 48% from the field.
 
Tech out-scored the Lights 40-34 in the second half to take the win 71-67.
 
Tech held a huge 20-14 edge in turnovers and converted those extra TO's into a 20-point advantage.
 
The Owls were led by Mitchell Fink with 24 points, Tyler Hieb added 16, with Andrew Webber putting down 11 in the win.
 
Tech held a 36-33 edge in rebounds including 13 offensive put backs.
 
Montana State-Northern was led by Ryan Reeves with 18 points and Justin Dunsmore with 13 points in the loss.
 
Tech will next host William Jessup at 7:30 pm on Saturday and Montana State-Northern will play Southern Oregon at 3:00 pm as the Lithia Toyota Classic concludes at Danny Miles Court.
 
Southern Oregon knocked off William Jessup 79-70 Friday.
