City Seeks Volunteers for Marijuana Advisory Committee

The City of Klamath Falls is seeking seven citizens interested in volunteering to serve on the Marijuana Advisory Committee. The committee shall advise and make recommendations to the City Council regarding state policies and regulations concerning the marijuana industry and impacts to the community.

The City is asking those who wish to serve on this committee to submit their volunteer applications by January 10, 2019 to:

The Mayor, with the concurrence of City Council, shall appoint seven (7) individuals to the Committee as follows:

  1. Minimum of five (5) City Resident citizen members

  2. Non-City Residents may also apply

  3. A majority of members shall be Oregon license holders, license applicants, or individuals otherwise knowledgeable of the marijuana industry.

  4. For the initial appointment, four (4) members will be appointed for the full four (4) year term and three (3) members for partial two (2) year terms.
