Klamath Falls, Ore. – The Oregon Tech men's soccer team finished the regular season action at home with 4-1 win over the University of Providence Argos, strengthening their position in the CCC tournament.

The contest started with good back and forth play from both teams for the first 20 minutes of the contest. The Argos were the first to find the back of the net with a goal from forward Christoffer Bisbo in the 24th minute. Oregon Tech responded 11 minutes later, as junior forward Lodewijk Bloemzaad (Pictured) would redirect a cross from Benito Torres-Mata. 3 minutes later, Bloemzaad would find himself in another scoring position, this time redirecting a cross from outside back Devin Lutz, giving Bloemzaad a brace heading into the half-time break.

The second half saw the Owls midfield control most of the play, while providing dangerous attacks at the Argos goal. Senior Colton Grytness battled for a ball to the end line against a Providence defender that he was able to sneak past the goalkeeper, only to find Bloemzaad for the redirect into the net. The third goal gave Bloemzaad his hat-trick for the game, the first of his career.

The final goal of the contest came off of a driven cross from just outside the 18 box by Grytness, which clipped a defender and ricocheted into the Argos goal.

The final score of 4-1 sees Tech pick up their 7th win in CCC play and strengthens their position for the CCC tournament. Final seeding for the conference will be known by the end of the day Saturday.

The CCC tournament will take place in Eugene, Oregon at the Willamalane Sports Complex. Opening round games begin on Friday, November 3rd.
