Winter Weather Advisory

The National Weather Service of Medford, Oregon has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for the areas of the Klamath Basin and Lake County from 4:00 PM Sunday afternoon until 10:00 PM Monday night.

Travel will be difficult with snow-covered and slippery roadways. The hazardous travel could affect both the morning and evening commute. Gusty winds are expected and could cause hazards with blowing and drifting snow.

Slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination. Cary tire chains and be prepared for snow-covered roads and limited visibilities.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow will cause travel difficulties.

WHAT
Snow expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
[Updated 6:22 AM, 2/4/19 - Additional 2-4” expected today, with the heaviest snow in the morning.]

LOCATION
All areas of the Klamath Basin, Northern and Eastern Klamath County and Western Lake County and Central and Eastern Lake County, including Klamath Falls, Chemult, Lakeview, Summer Lake. Highways include 140, 97, 31, 395 and 66.

Including the cities of Altamont, Klamath Falls, Beatty, Bly, Chemult, Crescent, Gilchrist, Sprague River, Adel, Lakeview, and Valley Falls

WHEN
From 4 PM Sunday to 10 PM PST Monday. Heaviest snow is expected Monday morning and afternoon.
