Winter Storm Watch & High Wind Warning Issued
/Another fairly strong frontal system in the recent parade will arrive Tuesday with increasing southerly winds for many areas. Significant rainfall is expected at lower elevations Tuesday through Wednesday, with significant snowfall expected for elevations above 3500 to 4000 feet Wednesday.
While model guidance continues to waiver on day to day precipitation amounts and the strength of individual frontal systems, there is increasing confidence that unsettled weather with more frontal systems will generally continue into early next week. WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY EVENING THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING ABOVE 5000 FEET
Heavy snow possible. Travel will be very difficult to impossible, including during the morning commute on Wednesday. Total snow accumulations of 6 to 12 inches, with localized amounts up to 18 inches, are possible. In the Cascades and Siskiyous including Crater Lake, Diamond Lake, and Mt. Ashland. From Tuesday evening through Wednesday evening.
Significant reductions in visibility are possible. Heavy snow is expected to be just above Interstate 5 at Siskiyou Summit. However, minor changes to snow levels could bring snow down to the interstate.

Stock emergency kit with tire chains, flashlight, batteries, blankets, food, water, and medications. The safest place during a winter storm is indoors. Plan now to avoid traveling during the storm.
A Winter Storm Watch means there is potential for significant snow accumulations that may create dangerous travel.

HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 4 AM TO 10 PM PST WEDNESDAY
Strong south winds likely Tuesday and Wednesday. Another strong cold front will bring strong south winds to the coast, Shasta Valley and portions of Lake and Klamath Counties Tuesday and Wednesday.
The National Weather Service in Medford has issued a High Wind Warning...which is in effect from 4 AM to 10 PM PST Wednesday. The High Wind Watch is no longer in effect.
- Winds...South 35 to 45 mph with gusts to 60 mph possible.
- Timing...Tuesday night through Wednesday evening.
- Locations include...Highway 31 from Silver Lake to the 395interchange. Highway 395 north of Lakeview.
- Impacts...Driving may become difficult, especially for highprofile vehicles.

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage. Travel will be impacted, especially for high profile vehicles
