Winter Storm Warning - 10:00 AM Thursday to 4:00 AM Friday

Snow and blowing snow expected with wind gusts to 60 mph possible. Localized heavy snow and white out conditions possible. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches, with localized amounts up to 10 inches.

LOCATION
Cascades, Northern and Eastern Klamath County, Western and Central and Eastern Lake County. Locations in the warning area include areas above about 5500 feet including Winter Rim and Warner Pass.

WHEN
10:00 AM Thursday to 4:00 AM PST Friday.

Snow and blowing snow expected with wind gusts to 60 mph possible. Localized heavy snow and white out conditions possible. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches, with localized amounts up to 10 inches. Total snow accumulations of 2 to 5 inches with snow and blowing snow. Gusts to 45 mph possible.

LOCATION
Klamath Basin, Modoc Point, Chemult, and some stretches of Highway 140 between Klamath Falls and Lakeview.

WHEN
10:00 AM Thursday to 4:00 AM PST Friday.

High Wind Watch

Winds:
South to southwest 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.

Timing:
Winds will increase late Thursday morning, reaching a peak in the afternoon and evening.

Locations Include:
Adin, Davis Creek, Tulelake, Bonanza, Modoc Point, including portions of highways 97, 395, 140, 39, and 139. Northeast Siskiyou and Northwest Modoc Counties-Modoc County- Klamath Basin- Northern and Eastern Klamath County and Western Lake County- Including the cities of Newell, Tulelake, Adin, Canby, Altamont, Beatty, and Sprague River

Plan on difficult travel conditions. Damage to trees and power lines is likely. Be prepared for significant reductions in visibility at times. Travel may become difficult or hazardous, especially for lightweight and high profile vehicles. Loose outdoor objects or materials could get blown about. Tree damage and blowing dust are possible.
