Wildfire Update: Modoc Lightning Fires 8/17/18 AM

Near Lower Rush Creek Campground, the Rush Fire was stopped at 0.2 acres and is now fully contained.

The Quarantine Fire – two miles south of the Hwy 139 quarantine station – is approximately 27 acres and 65-percent contained.

The North Fire – three miles southwest of Pine Creek Basin in the Warner Mountains – is one acre and 100-percent contained.

Future updates on fires other than the Stone will be provided as fire conditions change or new starts are discovered.

Recent measurements show fuels are dryer than ever, please be safe with anything that could start a fire. Call Modoc Interagency Dispatch Center at 530-233-4581 to report wildfires.
