Ten of Klamath’s most accomplished young women will compete for thousands of dollars in scholarships and prizes in the upcoming 43rd annual Miss Klamath County-Miss City of Sunshine Scholarship Pageant.

The pageant, with “The Greatest Show” theme, will be held at 7:00 PM at the Mills Auditorium on Saturday, April 7, 2018  Featured special guests will include Miss City of Sunshine Rylee Smith, Miss Klamath County Shelby Foley and the 2018 Sister Act Princesses.

Presented by the Women’s Scholarship Foundation of Klamath County, the competition is an official preliminary pageant of the Miss America Pageant.  Providing over $45 million annually, the Miss America Organization is the largest private provider of scholarships for women ages 17-25 in the world.

First year pageant director Sheri Hargrave said “I am extremely proud to be part of this outstanding program which truly does make a difference in strengthening the lives of young women. I am also very proud of each of the contestant this year they are a great group of young women and have a lot to offer our community.”
