On Thursday, December 13, 2018, at approximately 5:00PM, a Jeep SUV was traveling eastbound on Highway 140 near milepost 30 in Jackson County when the vehicle left the roadway, traveled down an embankment, and collided with a tree.

UPDATE 5:05 pm - No injuries. Rear end collision. Both vehicles traveling west bound on Highway 140. Vehicle 1, Ford Edge rear ended by vehicle 2, Ford Expedition. Edge slowed for farm equipment in the road and Expedition failed to slow and rear ended Edge. After the collision the Expedition left the roadway through a fence and stopped in the middle of a field.
