On Friday, January 10, 2020, just after midnight Joshua Warren Holloway, who was being sought as a person of interest as part of a recent murder investigation, was taken into custody after a brief pursuit on Hwy 97 north of Gilchrist.

On Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at about 11:00 pm, the resident contacted Klamath 911 and advised dispatchers that the GPS-armed decoy package had been taken and was transmitting its whereabouts as it traveled towards Klamath Falls. Klamath County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was subsequently confirmed to be in possession of the stolen package.
