The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) is continuing an extensive investigation into the tragic deaths of two female adults slain by one or more assailants while they occupied a dwelling on Hilltop Road in the Pleasant Valley Highlands area outside of the City of Dorris on Monday, October 14, 2019, during early-morning hours of the day.

SCSO Probes double homicide in Dorris area

On Monday, October 14, 2019, at about 2:05 a.m., Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) deputies and a sergeant responded to a call of a possible robbery involving a shooting in the Dorris area.  The California Highway Patrol (CHP) originally received an emergency “9-1-1” call that reported two people were shot during a robbery in the area of “Big Stump” and Dorris-Brownell Road, a rural, isolated, mountainous area located approximately 3 miles northwest of the City of Dorris, commonly referred to as Pleasant Valley Highlands.
