WEED, Calif. - The Dry Creek Bridge serving Union Pacific’s west coast mainline was severely damaged in the Lava Fire that has burned over 26,000 acres north of Weed, California. Early repair estimates were placed to reopen the line in September. Yet, UP has been able to complete the repairs a month ahead of schedule.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - On August 12, 2020, just after midnight, Klamath County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a call to assist Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office with a pursuit of a stolen Toyota 4Runner that was traveling north into Oregon. KCSO Deputies picked up pursuit of the stolen vehicle near the Midland Rest Area and reported speeds in excess of 100 MPH.
