Suspect in custody on assault, robbery charges

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - March 7, 2020, Manuel Rangel Jr. was arrested in the 100 block of Main Street with the assistance of the Klamath Falls Police Department.

This arrest was the direct result of citizen tips received via the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office Tip-Line.

Rangel Jr. was positively identified as the Person of Interest during the shooting in the 4300 block of Carlon Way.

Two firearms related to the shooting have not been recovered at this time.

Rangel Jr. is lodged at the Klamath County Jail and faces charges including Assault I, Assault II, Robbery I, Unlawful Use of Weapon, Felon in Possession of a Weapon x2. KCSO is thankful for the tips provided by citizens concerned about the safety of their communities.
