Smith II Arrested on Attempted Murder Following Shooting in Klamath Falls

On June, 17th, at approximately 9:49 p.m., officers from the Klamath Falls Police Department responded to the area of South 5th Street and Walnut Avenue, after receiving a report of a shooting.

Officers and EMS personnel arrived and the victim was transported to Sky Lakes Medical Center for treatment, where he remains in stable condition.

Detectives from the Klamath Falls Police Department responded and developed probable cause for the arrest of Robert Smith II.  Detectives also determined this incident was the result of a domestic disturbance.  Robert Smith II was later located, arrested, and lodged at the Klamath County Jail on charges of Attempted Murder, Assault I, Unlawful Use of a Weapon, and Recklessly Endangering Another. 

The investigation is ongoing.
