Ski Report for January 18, 2019

Ski season is in full swing area ski resorts are open and the snow is looking good - over 100 inches reported at the upper section of Mt. Shasta at 6889 feet. More snow is expected at area parks this weekend. Ski resorts are now running their extras too - tubing hills, night skiing, sled dog rides, snowshoe tours, heli skiing and more.

Mt Ashland
The resort is open today operating all 5 lifts and includes a 50 inches of snow. Mt. Ashland is reporting 2 new inches of snow overnight. They also have started night skiing or as they call it twilight skiing on Thursday and Friday’s from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Mt. Bachelor
The big resort outside of Bend, Oregon is open today running 9 of 11 lifts on a 73 inch base of snow. Mt. Bachelor reports two inches of new snow overnight. Mt. B is also reporting a foot of new snow in the past 36 hours. The tubing hill is also open at Mt. Bachelor, visit the tubing page for schedule info.

Mt Shasta
The biggest ski resort closest to the Oregon State line is open with all 4 of their lifts operational on a deep 104 inch base. Mt. Shasta is reporting 2 inches of fresh snow over night and snowing now. Day skiing and night skiing are open. As wells as 32 trails, 12 of which are groomed. The terrain park is open as is the tubing hill. The ski park is reporting packed snow on the roadway leading to the park.

Cedar Pass Ski Area and Warner Canyon are open for the season but full details of each are not readily available a the time of the report.
