Mt Ashland

Saturday was a great day at Mt. Ashland! We enjoyed seeing all of our guests enjoying this wonderful new snow. It came in heavy enough to give us enough coverage to re-open the summit, which was awesome.

The snow surface is vastly improved, though we still have obstacles out on the hill, so please continue to use caution, especially off of the groomed surfaces. For Sunday, expect mostly sunny conditions, with a high near 31. Look for southeast winds 13 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

We will have our grooming team out overnight and we expect to be able to add new groomed runs for Sunday, but we won’t know until they get out there, so check back here in the morning for a full grooming report. Make sure to bring all your essentials for the day, and remember to treat your vehicle as your own personal lodge for the day.

We are sold out of lift tickets for Sunday.  If you purchased lift tickets in advance, please proceed to the ticket booth located at the locker lodge which is the gray building across the lot from the main lodge.  Looking for a lesson or rental gear?   Remember you must reserve your spot online 2 days in advance.  If you are picking up rental gear or taking a private lesson, please proceed to the lodge where you will be directed by our Ambassa-door. The Mt. Ashland business office will be closed for the holidays and all guest services will be done on the mountain.

The access road has been plowed and sanded and has banks of snow on the shoulders, so drive carefully and always carry your traction devices.  We will also have snow park permits available for sale on the mountain if you did not purchase them in advance.  Snow park permits are required along the access road and in the Mt. Ashland parking lot.

Mt. Bachelor West Village Cam, December 26, 2020

Mt. Bachelor

Skiers and riders enjoyed powder turns all day on Saturday with the exciting opening of the West Bowls off of the Northwest Lift as well. Snow showers have wrapped up after another 1” of snow fell during the day.

Looking ahead to Sunday we should see a dry and mostly cloudy day with temperatures forecasted to be in the 20s. Winds for Sunday are expected to be light to moderate out of the south. The snow surface is in excellent condition following this round of snow and there will be soft pockets of powder still available to wrap up the weekend. Our grooming crews will of course be working overnight to print fresh corduroy for those of you looking to link some big turns in the morning!
