Klamath Falls, Ore. – German Pianist Andreas Klein will perform at 2pm Sunday March 11 at the Ross Ragland Theater. Klein has distinguished himself as a dynamic and compelling performer with his command of a wide range of tonal colors and imaginative interpretations. The New York Times declared him "A fascinating artist with all the indispensable qualities: temperament, taste, touch, tone, the four T's of pianism" and "A pianist who makes silences sound like music".

His career as orchestra soloist and recitalist has taken him to the world's most prestigious venues: from London's Wigmore Hall, Berlin's Philharmonic Hall, New York's Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall, to Washington, DC's Kennedy Center. As a chamber musician, his collaborations include some of the finest ensembles. He performed Mozart's Concerto KV415 and the string orchestra version of Beethoven Concerto No.4 with the Salzburg Chamber Soloists throughout the US and in Mexico.

“People sometimes underappreciate the classics” said Mark McCrary, Executive Director of The Ross Ragland “Andreas Klein is a piano virtuoso with the credentials and skills that brilliantly showcase his musicality”

Klein is a graduate of the Juilliard School and received a Doctoral of Musical Arts from Rice University. He complemented his studies with the legendary Claudio Arrau and Nikita Magaloff. Mr. Klein will host a pre-concert lecture open to the public starting at 1PM in the theater lobby.

Tickets for the event range from $15-$24 before transaction fees.  Student, Senior and Military discounts available.  Additionally rush tickets are available for KCC and Oregon Tech students.
