Red Flag Warning issued for Wednesday, August 28

A previous fire weather watch for parts of Klamath and Lake Counties has been upgraded to a Red Flag Warning

A Red Flag Warning is now in effect from 11:00 AM Wednesday morning through 11:00 PM Wednesday evening for abundant lighting on dry fuels for areas of Klamath, Lake, Siskiyou, Jackson and Josephine counties.

Wednesday is still favorable for thunderstorms from late morning into Wednesday evening. The best chance for scattered thunderstorms is expected to be in western Siskiyou County, Siskiyou mountains, Cascades, portions of fire zone 625 and northwest 624.

Elsewhere, except in fire zones 615 and 618 isolated thunderstorms are possible. However scattered thunderstorms are possible.

Stay tuned for updates on this. The best chance for thunderstorms Thursday are expected to be east of the Cascades and should be isolated.
