ASHLAND, Ore.-  Eastern Oregon finally got to Oregon Tech pitcher Loryn Williams in the bottom of the sixth inning, and Hailey Kline held strong in leading the No. 4-seeded Mountaineers to a 1-0 victory in Game 6 of the Cascade Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon at University Field.

Second baseman Madison Barr drove in the game-winner for EOU (24-11 overall) to eliminate the Owls (36-13). With two outs and runners on first and second, she popped up to shallow center field. Sahalie Doe came sliding in to attempt the catch, but the ball popped in and out of her glove as Shevan Defreitas raced home after doubling earlier in the inning.

Kline (14-8) struck out seven, walked two and allowed four hits. She wiggled out of a bases-loaded, no-out jam in the fourth inning, OIT's only serious threat during her 110-pitch complete game.

EOU advanced to play at 4:30 p.m. against No. 5-seeded British Columbia.

Williams (11-2) gave up just five hits, walked four and struck out two. The No. 3-seeded Owls, ranked 20th in the NAIA, will await Tuesday's NAIA Opening Round announcement in anticipation of their season extending.
