Fire District No.1 was dispatched at 2:15 pm today to a reported structure fire on the 3900 block of Shasta Way in Klamath Falls. The initial reports indicated an attic fire with heavy smoke showing. The single family dwelling sustained smoke and fire damage to the attic. No injuries to residents or firefighters were reported as a result of the fire.

Initial investigations have determined that the cause of the fire was due to an electrical overload and outdated wiring.

Fire District No. 1 was assisted by the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office for traffic control. Multiple occupants will be assisted by the Red Cross.
