Over $23,000 raised for MDA through Fill-the-Boot

Klamath County Fire District No. 1 and the Muscular Dystrophy Association would like to thank the citizens and local businesses for donating to this year’s Fill the Boot fundraiser. The fundraiser was held June 1 and 2 at South 6th St. and Avalon St.  Our community raised $23,012, which stays local and is also a new record, our previous record being $22,511 in 2014.

Firefighter Wes Kleinjan, who coordinates the annual event would like to personally thank all those that helped to make this year’s fundraiser a huge success including the employee’s and families of Klamath County Fire District No. 1 who gave their time and energy.  The following local businesses donated food and drinks for the event: Terry’s Donuts, Human Bean, Dutch Bro’s, Starvin Marvin’s, Subway, Abby’s Pizza, Domino’s Pizza, Turn Thom Tire, Pepsi and Sherm’s Thunderbird.

This event would not be possible without the support of our amazing community, it is a privilege to serve you.
