Oregon Tech Women 10th Men 11th in California

INDIO, Calif.-  The Oregon Tech women finished in 10th with Owls men finishing in 11thplace in separate tournaments in Indio, California on Tuesday afternoon.
 
The OIT men finished 11th out 20 teams as they fired a final round 342 finishing with a three round total of 989. 86 strokes behind the winning team of Victoria BC Tuesday on the final day of the Desert Intercollegiate Tournament being played at the Golf Club at Terra Lago hosted by Corban University.
 
The Hustlin' Owls were led by Mayson Tibbs who shot a final round 78 to end the tournament tied for 15th.
 
Tech's Nate Hunter are tied for 40th after his final round 82.
 
Tech's Houston Knox who started the day in 20th struggled as shot a final round 91 to finish in a tie for 47th to round out Owls in the top 50 out of 108 golfers.  
 
Corban University is the only other CCC team in the tournament finished in 10th 22-strokes ahead of the Owls.
 
On the Women's side, the OIT women finished 54-strokes behind the winning team of Embry Riddle (AZ) as the Lady Owls fired a final round 331 to go along with their first round 331 to finish with a 662.
 
The lady Owls were led by Janelle Ferlan who fired a first round 80 as she finished tied for 20th 12-strokes behind the winning score of 146 put-up by Jessica Williams of Embry Riddle who shot a tournament low 69.  
 
Tech's Stephanie Koza finished tied for 34th up 12 positions from where she started the day with her final round 80.
