KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. – Head Coach Greg Stewart announced the recent addition of Rheanna McDaniel from Scio High School and Jensen Becker from Glencoe High School to the Oregon Tech softball program.

McDaniel is a three-time All-Conference outfielder and was named to the 2016 and 2017 First Team All-State. Last year she batted .531 with 43 hits, 5 doubles, 2 triples, and 11 home runs with an impressive 54 runs batted in and 70 runs scored to go along with 30 walks and 12 stolen bases.

"We are excited to sign a student-athlete of Rheanna's talent to our program for next year," said Stewart. "Rheanna is a complete player that can hit for average and power, runs really well, and is a very good defensive outfielder."

McDaniel is the daughter of Warren and Terise McDaniel and will be a Sonography major at Oregon Tech this fall.

Becker is a Second Team All-League outfielder and batted .320 with 33 hits, 12 doubles, two triples, two home runs, with 31 runs batted in while fielding .974 for Glencoe HS.  Jensen also hit an impressive .455 on her club team last summer with 17 doubles, five triples, and three home runs.

"Jensen is a very good hitting lefty with a strong arm and great range in the outfield," Stewart said. "I am thrilled we were able to sign Jensen in her junior year as she will be a great addition and has already proven herself as a talented player the past two seasons."

Becker is the daughter of Joe and Darcy Becker and will be a Dental Hygiene major at OIT next fall.
