More than 400 KCSD students to graduate this weekend

Next steps include joining the military, attending college or trade school and working

An estimated 410 Klamath County School District students are expected to receive high school diplomas this weekend in ceremonies across the county.

KCSD graduations kick off Friday afternoon when more than 20 Falcon Heights graduates and two Great Basin Homeschool graduates are scheduled to walk across the stage at the Ross Ragland Theater and receive their diplomas.

Mazama High School graduates will walk Friday evening. Bonanza, Gilchrist, and Lost River celebrate graduations on Saturday, and Chiloquin and Henley graduates will receive their diplomas Sunday.

Between them, the graduates have earned more than $4.2 million in scholarships.

So what do KCSD graduates plan to do next?

Of the district’s graduates:

  • 103 plan to attend a four-year college or university

  • 149 plan to attend a two-year community college

  • 75 plan to join the workforce

  • 39 plan to join the military

  • 16 plan to attend vocational school, training and internships

  • 2 plan to join church missions

  • Bonanza Junior-Senior High School: 10 a.m., Saturday, June 8

  • Gilchrist Junior-Senior High School: 11 a.m., Saturday, June 8

  • Lost River Junior-Senior High School: 11 a.m. Saturday, June 8

  • Chiloquin Junior-Senior High School: 2 p.m., Sunday, June 9

  • Henley High School: 2 p.m., Sunday, June 9
