A model railroad show opens Saturday, July 7, at the Klamath County Museum, and runs through July 21.

The model train show is presented by the Klamath Rails model railroad club. Hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday each week. The museum is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Entry to the train show is included with regular museum admission, which is $5 for adults, $4 for teenagers and seniors, and free for children 12 and under.

“The train club hopes this will be a fun activity for families looking for something to do during the summer,” said museum manager Todd Kepple. “Their display will include a Thomas and Friends layout, which should be a hit with smaller children.”

Members of the Klamath Rails club will have four types of model trains on display, including N, O, HO and G scale. The HO scale layout, the club’s biggest, includes representations of forests, towns and railroad switchyards.
