Men and Women 10th at NAIA Cross National Championships

VANCOUVER, Wash. -  A year after finishing in a school record 8th place at the NAIA National Cross Country Championships the Oregon Tech women finished 10thSaturday with the Hustlin' Owl men also finishing 10th as they really improved from a 17th place finish a year ago. The combined 5th place finish is the highest ever in school history at Fort Vancouver.
 
Tech had three All American finishers led by Cindy Reed's 6th place finish in a time of 17:39 that ties a school record set by Susie Garza in 2015, Garza finished in 16th this year in a time of 17:56 as she became Oregon Tech's first ever two-time All-American
 
Mark French finished 8th leading the OIT men as he also became the first ever Two-Time All-American in school history with his time of 25:58 which is a lifetime best and is now second all-time right behind Paul Adams 24:19 finish in 2015.
 
Rounding out the top finishers for the Lady Owls was Danielle De Castro (62), and Annika Anderson (89).
 
The men they tied College of Idaho for 10th place with 351 points with French leading the way followed by Tim McPherson in a time of 25:58 followed by Jack Roberts in 26:16 and Ricky Garcia in 26:21.
