Event Notice - Mazama College and Career Fair

What: Mazama College and Career Fair is looking for Participants
When: 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Wednesday April 11th
Where: Mazama High School

Mazama High School is looking for participants to join in the second annual College and Career Fair. The counseling office is seeking a wide variety of local businesses, professionals in various career fields, college departments, college admissions representatives, and military recruiters.

The goal: expose Klamath County high school students to a wide variety of potential careers and put them in contact with individuals and colleges that can help them continue their education after high school.

About 1,100 students attended the inaugural College and Career Fair in 2017. This year the Mazama Counseling Department has invited about 1,500 students to attend from Mazama High School, Henley High School, Falcon Heights Academy, Great Basin Homeschool Center, Bonanza High School, Lost River High School, Chiloquin High School, Brixner Junior High, Klamath Union High School, EagleRidge High School, Hosanna Christian Academy, and Triad School.

This is a prime opportunity for local businesses, colleges and military representatives to meet students who will soon enter the workforce in the Klamath Basin.

The Mazama College and Career Fair will be set up much like any other job or college fair. Participants will have tables to set up materials and students will filter in and out of the gym on a schedule. Participants are encouraged to bring materials used in your career field; hands-on demonstrations; and/or materials to promote your business, college, or the military. If you offer part-time jobs, internships, or scholarships to students, please bring these materials as well.
