Local Fire Emergency Shelters Not Needed Now but Ready When Asked

The Board of Klamath County Commissioners, through our Emergency Manager, has been communicating with the Red Cross in the Northern California communities impacted by the devastating fires and been advised not to set up shelters at this time, we want those effected to know that Klamath County has made arrangements to provided services and stands ready to serve when needed.

We urge everyone to listen to local authorities and be prepared to evacuate immediately when asked. If you have been evacuated and require assistance, please contact our Emergency Manager, Morgan Lindsay at 541-281-8357.

Additionally, many of Klamath County’s residents have offered to assist with locations for RV’s and Trailers, land for large animals & livestock and areas for small animals as well.
