The following is a press release from the office of Klamath County District Attorney, Eve Costello.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - On March 10, 2021, Jerrold Don Hanson entered pleas of guilty to three counts of Encouraging Child Sexual Abuse in the First Degree related to Hanson’s duplication of images and recordings depicting sexually explicit conduct involving children.

The Honorable Judge Alycia Kersey sentenced Hanson to the care, custody, and control of the Oregon Department of Corrections for a period of 117-months, with an additional 36-months of post-prison supervision (parole).

Hanson’s behavior was exacerbated by the fact that he is a registered sex offender and, at the time of the current offenses, was on post-prison supervision for similar charges.
