The following is a press release from the Klamath Falls Police Department.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - On Monday, June 28, 2021, at approximately 8:31 AM, officers with the Klamath Falls Police Department responded to The Gospel Mission, 1931 Mission Avenue, on a report of a Sexual Assault that had occurred in the 2100 block of Applegate Avenue on an earlier date.

Officers conducted a detailed investigation where it was alleged the victim had been sexually assaulted by her ex-boyfriend. Officers developed probable cause to arrest the suspect, identified as 44-year-old Mason Thatcher.

Mr. Thatcher was arrested without incident and lodged at the Klamath County Jail for the following charges: Sodomy in the First Degree, Sexual Abuse in the First Degree.
