Klamath Falls Community Band to perform 'Sounds of Christmas' concert

The Klamath Falls Community Band will perform their fifth annual “Sounds of Christmas” Concert at the Mills Auditorium on Saturday, December 7 at 4:00 pm.

There is sure to be something for everyone in this fun-filled concert that includes new arrangements of familiar Christmas classics. The performance will also feature a medley of traditional Chanukah tunes and holiday tunes with influences from cultures around the world.

The band will also recognize Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day with a performance of a piece entitled “At Dawn They Slept.” This tune, written by American composer and arranger Jay Bocook, pays tribute to those who lost their lives during the surprise attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.

Tickets to the concert are available at the door and are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors/students/military, and FREE for children 12 and under.

The community band, under the direction of Mazama High School Music Director Rob Izzett, was formed in 2015 and is made up of talented musicians from the local community.
