Officers from the Klamath Falls Police Department arrested Davie Lamburth, 27, of Klamath Falls, Tuesday morning following an alleged attempted drowning of her nine-month-old infant child in a bathtub.

The investigation began, when a KFPD officer was requested by Sky Lakes Medical Center staff following the arrival of the infant arrived in the early morning hours of Tuesday, June 11, 2019.

The infant had been transported by family members to ensure the infant was medically stable.  The infant was removed from the home and placed with a family member.

Later that morning, a Klamath Falls Police Detective assumed the investigation and interviewed witnesses and the suspect in this incident.  Detectives learned Lamburth attempted to drown her nine month old daughter in the bathtub of the resident she shared with her boyfriend and his grandmother.

Detectives learned Lamburth was unsuccessful only due to the fact her boyfriend’s grandmother intervened.

Lamburth told detectives she intended to harm her infant.

Lambruth admitted to using methamphetamine and heroin prior to the incident.

This investigation is continuing.
