KCSO: Death Investigation Bly, Ore. [UPDATED]

UPDATE - 5:30 pm, 1/16/19

Klamath County Sheriff’s Office reports the Oregon State Medical Examiner’s office has determined the death of Mr. Justin Bandy. Bandy died from exposure to freezing temperatures.

Klamath County Sheriff, Chris Kaber anticipates no further media releases pertaining to this investigation at this time.

On 01/14/19, at 8:20am, the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) was notified by the 911 Emergency Dispatch Center of a deceased male found near Bly, OR.

KCSO deputies responded to 56160 Whitmore St., Bly, OR where the deceased man was identified as Justin Curtis Bandy (37 years of age).

Mr. Bandy was located on the property a short distance from his residence.

Information is currently being circulated in the Bly community that foul play resulted in the death of Mr. Bandy. Investigators spent the majority of the day at the scene and foul play is not suspected in the death of Mr. Bandy. 

The Klamath County Sheriff’s Office will be awaiting a cause of death determination from the Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office. Until that information is received the investigation into Mr. Bandy’s death remains open. 

Note: The Klamath County District Attorney’s Office has also been made aware of the investigation and concurs with the release of this information.
