Horseback riding returns for the third year at the Running Y Ranch Resort. Saddle up between June 1st and the end of September for a riding adventure that departs from the resort grounds.

All trail rides will be led by the finest guides in Southern Oregon and are catered toward both novices and seasoned rides. Regardless of experience level, riders will truly experience a life-changing journey. The forested wilderness area surrounding the resort is the perfect setting for riding. The trail goes among Ponderosa Pines and Juniper trees and offers a front row view of Klamath Lake and spectacular views of the Skillet Handle – an area renowned for birding. Depending on the day, riders may see red winged blackbirds, egrets, grebes and bald eagles.

One hour rides leave at 10 am, 1 pm, and 4 pm and are $95 per person. Riders age six and up are welcome, and helmets are provided for all. It is recommended that riders wear long pants and boots or sneakers. Advanced reservations are required.

Those interested in reserving a riding time or have questions about the ride may call Bonnie McElrath at 541.840.9999.
