High Wind Warning/Advisory 10:00 AM Monday to 10:00 PM Tuesday

Another frontal system will bring moderate to strong winds to the coast this evening, the Shasta Valley tonight and some areas east of the Cascades late Tuesday morning.

The National Weather Service in Medford has replaced the High Wind Watch with a High Wind Warning...which is in effect from 10 AM to 10 PM PST Tuesday. A Wind Advisory has also been issued.

This Wind Advisory is in effect from 10 AM to 10 PM PST Tuesday.

LOCATION
Locations in the Warning include: Primarily the mountains of eastern Klamath and Lake Counties and portions of highway 31 between Paisley and Silver Lake and highway 395 north of Valley Falls to Alkali Lake.

Locations in the Advisory Include: Chemult, Bly, Beatty and Fort Rock. Also portions of the Warners, highway 140 and highway 97.

WINDS
South to southwest 35 to 45 mph with gusts to 70 mph in the warning area. South to southwest 25 to 35 with gusts to 50 mph in the advisory area.

TIMING
Late Tuesday morning into Tuesday evening. The strongest winds will be from 10 AM until 4 PM PST Tuesday.

Strong and gusty winds could make travel difficult or hazardous, especially for high profile vehicles. Loose items may be blown about. Property and tree damage is possible.

A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage. Travel will be impacted, especially for high profile vehicles.

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected with higher gusts possible. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
