Fowler files for vacant Commissioner seat

The following is a press release from Elect Brandon.

KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. - Brandon Fowler has filed the necessary paperwork with the Klamath County Clerk and the Oregon Secretary of State to run for Klamath County Commissioner Position 1. Brandon currently serves as County Emergency Manager and Public Information Officer for the Klamath County Sheriff’s Office.

Prior to his current public service, Brandon spent twenty-five years as a leader and executive in the Telecommunications Industry. Brandon is a United States Navy Veteran who has spent much of his adult life giving back to our community, having served two separate terms on Chiloquin Fire & Rescue’s Board of Directors, four years on Klamath County Budget Committee (two as committee chair) as well as several other boards and committees.

Brandon has served as Klamath County Emergency Manager and Public Information Officer to the Sheriff’s Office since 2019. Brandon states: “We have experienced many challenges in recent years, be they numerous large wildfires, drought, pandemic, as well as overall strains to our entire public safety system. Throughout these challenging times, I have worked with all emergency services agencies in our area.”

In addition, Brandon has led re-election campaigns for Commissioner Kelley Minty Morris and worked with Sheriff Chris Kaber on both his initial campaign in 2016 and his re-election in 2020. Brandon states: “In addition to my vast experience in the private sector as a leader, I have served my community in many different ways including previously working on campaigns of Commissioner Morris and Sheriff Kaber who I consider great friends.”

Local media professional Scott Allen will lead a veteran campaign team that has worked on several successful campaigns in recent years. Scott Allen states: “It is a pleasure to work with a candidate that has led other successful campaigns in recent years. Brandon brings not only a vast amount of business experience but also great experience in all aspects of public safety that will be a tremendous asset to the people of Klamath County.”
